Celebrating Christmas More, with Less

So much of Christmas is about giving and receiving. “What do you want for Christmas?” is a question that is often heard. This year, many of us will need to stretch a little a long way to meet holiday expectations of our family and friends. With a desire to create fond memories, parents especially can feel the pressure to extend beyond their means. There might be a better way. Could this current downturn be a Christmas gift in disguise, an opportunity to invest in assets that live well past the present? Perhaps it is. For just as personal growth seldom occurs in easy times, the days ahead could be filled with creativity, resourcefulness, deepening relationships, and renewed vision. It can be a time of coming together, and realizing in the most profound way, the dreams that truly matter…our deepest God-given dreams.
